Final task: Peer improvements
After receiving beneficial critiques from peers we decided we needed to make a few changes. First starting off with the things we originally wanted to fix. This was to make longer scenes and have fewer cuts. Since none of us are professional actors, we struggle keeping it together. We burst out laughing and ruin the scene. We took this project super serious so we kept straight faces and made fewer cuts. This process seems way easier said than done, and it is. To film
most of our scenes took a very long time. After refilling another negative critique was us occasionally glancing at the camera. Luckily for us, when refilling the longer scenes we fixed this problem as well. This process was extremely trying and took us close to the whole day. The worst part about refilling our scenes was the fact that we had to reedit. The reediting took a long time as well. We had to add all the effects we had before, as well as keeping it at exactly 2 minutes. Before cutting extra parts of scenes, we had close to 20 extra seconds. We agreed as a group of the parts that would be cut. It was hard seeing your hard work being through away so fast. Fortunately, we got every scene how we wanted and created a great film.
