First Film Day: Final Film
After having a useful team bonding day, today was different. The wheater was perfect for filming so I took advantage. At around 10:30 ish I was the first to arrive at the park. Since I live close to our film location, I thought it would be important to claim a spot before other people show up. Luckily there were lots of open fields and no one was going to get in our way. After 15 minutes, the rest of the group showed up, and we were ready to begin. At first, we were nervous and kept messing up. I realized we were trying maybe a little too hard and it seemed forced. In an attempt to fix these mistakes, I suggested that perhaps we play some football and soccer to get our minds off filming. This idea was a major success because after 20 minutes of playing, we were ready to film and the changes were evident. Instead of having forced interactions all of our scenes came naturally and flowed. We really looked professional and definitely not a high school film. After filming for an hour or two we gathered a bit of an audience. At first, I was taken aback and scared to approach the viewers, but my group mates and I built up the courage to go talk to our "fans". At first, they were extremely confused but eventually understood what we were doing. They mentioned they were watching from afar but began to get closer and gain curiosity. They mentioned that the film was nice and even offered a few personal suggestions on how to better the film. I always listen to advice even if I am unaware of the person who gave it. Their advice did not end up being added but it was helpful to hear feedback from outside parties.
