Pitches for Final Film
Pitch 1: Two friends have a horrifying experience in the woods, when they encounter a bloodthirsty creature just as all their flashlights stop working.
We really liked the idea of this pitch. When brainstorming we were set on creating a scary and thrilling film. We like the idea that they are stranded at night with no lights and being chased. Sadly, trying to film this is an extreme challenge. We would need an excessive number of props and CGI that we cannot get our hands on. In the future this film idea will not be as much of a challenge. Benefits of this film are that we all live near the woods and have access to the woods. The location was not a problem, just the events inside of the woods is what made this pitch incredibly challenging to complete as our film.
Pitch 2: A group of friends play hide and seek but when one of them hides in the closet years have passed and he is presumed dead.
This pitch really can go anywhere. We all enjoyed the fact of having an open pitch and really being able to create a new future for this film. We can be or create anything and it would correlate with the pitch of the film. This pitch is extremely easy to film and create because we can film in our house and not need any imaginary creatures. This film does not seem scary, but for the person who is “dead” truly is a scary experience. Some negatives about this pitch are our ability to explain to the audience what is going on in the film. It is an overly broad idea and can easily be led off target and lose purpose in the film. Overall, a good pitch for a film.
