After having a useful team bonding day, today was different. The wheater was perfect for filming so I took advantage. At around 10:30 ish I was the first to arrive at the park. Since I live close to our film location, I thought it would be important to claim a spot before other people show up. Luckily there were lots of open fields and no one was going to get in our way. After 15 minutes, the rest of the group showed up, and we were ready to begin. At first, we were nervous and kept messing up. I realized we were trying maybe a little too hard and it seemed forced. In an attempt to fix these mistakes, I suggested that perhaps we play some football and soccer to get our minds off filming. This idea was a major success because after 20 minutes of playing, we were ready to film and the changes were evident. 1. After a career threatening injury, the former athletics superstar battles his emotions. 2. A man finds something mysterious in the woods, what it is may haunt him forever. 3. She doesn't like her moms new boyfriend, but what she doesn't know is much more horrifying then she can anticipate. We decidied to go with the first option. My group and I all admire athletes and have heard many terrible stories. We want to portray and show the true struggle with substance abuse. Showing that it is not an easy battle but it is winnable. I believe we can make a great 5 minute film out of this.
